Bowie and his new band started a new residency at the Marque on the 4th of September 1965 and after 8 performances as Davy Jones and the Lower Third he changed the name on this night. During this year David Bowie also performed at the Marquee club in numerous occasions and on a casual basis with the T-Bones and other artists, including The High Numbers, later known as The Who, and blues legend Sonny Boy Williamson.
