Genesis performed at the Marquee club on May the 6th 1971 with the new line-up including guitarist Steve Hackett, repeating on the 9th next month, right before the recordings of the album "Nursery Cryme" at Trident studios on August. The new line-up represented the classical Genesis period of the early 70's, which recorded some of the most original, complex, and lyrical works from the 70's with the albums "Nursery Cryme" (1971), "Foxtrot" (1972), "Selling England by the Pound" (1973) and "The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway" (1974).
